Matt Ballard, President and CEO of the Charleston Area Alliance, will meet with a small group of Generation Charleston members over breakfast. This event will be limited to the first 15 who RSVP.
Before joining the Alliance, Ballard served as the Executive Director of the Hatfield-McCoy Trails, a 500-mile multi-use trail system, operating in nine counties throughout southern West Virginia. Prior to his work at Hatfield-McCoy, Ballard served for two years as the Special Assistant for Project Management and Policy Analysis to the WV Department of Tax and Revenue's Cabinet Secretary during the Governor Bob Wise administration.
Ballard has an undergraduate degree in nursing from Alderson-Broaddus College and a graduate degree in public administration from West Virginia University. He was also selected in 2000 as one of four Burke Scholars with the West Virginia Legislature and spent nine months working for Senator Majority Leader.
Gain, Prosper, Succeed (GPS) is a breakfast series with selected community leaders and a small number of Generation Charleston members. This small group format allows members to have an intimate discussion with the selected guest. Guests provide tips and advice on leadership and a fresh perspective on timely topics. Generation Charleston members gain insight on skill development as an up-and-coming business professional and build connections with business leaders in the Kanawha Valley.
