W.Va. manufacturers report needing nearly 7,000 jobs filled over 3 years
West Virginia manufacturers say they need an additional 2,700 full-time workers over the next 12 months and nearly 7,000 over the next three years, according to a new survey conducted by the Marshall University Center for Business & Economic Research (CBER) for the Marshall Advanced Manufacturing Center (MAMC). The Charleston Area Alliance received a grant from the Greater Kanawha Valley Foundation and BB&T to conduct business surveys around Charleston. The Alliance visited businesses to learn and understand their strengths and challenges.
