About
The West Virginia Association of Rehabilitation Facilities, Inc. is an organization with two distinct missions:
Rehabilitation Programs -
WVARF is a non-profit company that manages work contracts between state government agencies and Community Rehabilitation Programs (CRPs) which serve people with various disabilities. Services provided by CRPs to their employees include vocational evaluation, training, extended employment, job placement, supported employment, and follow up. The primary goal is to enhance vocational opportunities for individuals with disabilities within the state.
Manage the State Use Programs as the Central Non-Profit Agency -
West Virginia’s State Use Program was created by legislature in 1984 and allows CRPs to provide products and services to various state agencies without the requirement of competitive bidding. Market value is established for these products and services by the governor-appointed Governor’s Committee for the Purchase of Commodities and Services from the Handicapped. -
