Astorg Auto

Astorg Motor Company was founded by West Virginia native Joe Astorg in 1967. Joe envisioned a company built on work ethic, integrity, and a passion to provide exceptional service to every customer. Astorg Auto began as a small pre-owned lot in South Parkersburg, WV. Following relocation across town to 7th Street, Astorg acquired its first franchise, Buick, in 1974. Astorg Auto followed this by opening a Mercedes-Benz franchise in 1977. Throughout the 70s, 80s, and 90s, Astorg Auto built a loyal following throughout the Mid-Ohio Valley with their Buick and Mercedes-Benz dealerships.

After 30 years of providing exceptional customer service with Buick and Mercedes-Benz, Astorg Auto expanded its business, acquiring the local Ford-Lincoln dealership, Dils Ford, in 1997. Soon after, Joe Astorg transitioned the leadership of Astorg Auto to his son, Paul Astorg, in 2000. Paul led the Astorg Auto team through the Ford-Lincoln acquisition, and after a decade of building on Astorg Auto’s reputation for customer service, Astorg Auto welcomed the Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram brands to the Astorg family of dealerships in 2008. In 2016, Astorg Auto continued to grow by adding Fiat to the family of dealerships. In early 2017, Astorg Auto made its boldest move yet, acquiring Smith Motor Cars in Charleston, WV. With this acquisition, Astorg Auto is now able to bring its reputation of excellent customer service to our state’s capital city. It also expands the Astorg Auto family to include such luxury brands as Jaguar, Volvo, and Land Rover.
