QC Lab Technician - Contract
Kureha PGA LLC, Belle WV is immediately hiring a contract QC Lab Technician. This is a full-time position with 8-hour day shifts during training and non-operational times, and 12-hour shifts during our production periods.
We are looking for candidates with a science background, laboratory experience, and self-motivation. This job is a great position for a recent Chemistry Grad trying to get lab experience, or a seasoned lab technician or scientific professional looking for a full-time position with some flexibility.
Candidates must have the ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures with preferred experience in the following: analytical balance use, pipetting and sample prep, GC, LC, DSC, Viscometry, Karl Fischer titration, and Mettler titrator experience.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Become trained on the Kureha PGA QC Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Complete analytical work complying with QC Lab SOPs.
- Participate in troubleshooting, problem solving and continuous improvement of QC instrumentation, equipment, and analytical methods.
- Complete all required laboratory checks RCRA, Safety Equipment, Lab Gases, etc….
- Participate in team related meetings and activities
- Ensures compliance with all federal/state safety/environmental regulations and procedures.
- Maintains good housekeeping in QC lab following the 5S Model
- Sample Disposal and Referencing
- Supports special analysis, method development, and process support projects as requested by department manager
