The Charleston Area Alliance is pleased to announce that AlignHR will be hosting a lunch-n-learn on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at our office. The topic for this session is “The Most Frequently Violated Employment Laws” and will cover such common violations as:
- Not paying required overtime because of misclassification or improper time keeping
- Paying below minimum wage
- Telling employees that they can’t discuss pay with co-workers
- Not posting the required labor law posters
- Misclassification of workers which includes exempt vs. non-exempt and employee vs. independent contractor
