DESCRIPTION:This interactive 'lunch and learn' will ask whether or not WV business owners and leader are aware that tobacco use is affecting their bottom line. The recent Center for Disease Control and Prevention just released a study aimed discussing smoking and business impacts relevant to West Virginia.  A review of the outcomes will also be discussed. See the Executive Summary here.  Come and learn about the importance of tobacco control policy for your workplace!\n\n \n\nBruce W. Adkins will be the main presenter.  He received a B.S. in Medical Sciences from Alderson Broaddus College in Philippi\, West Virginia\, and a M.S. in Human Resource Management (with a public health / health care administration emphasis)\n\nfrom the University of Charleston.\n\n\n\nHe has been the Director of the Division of Tobacco\n\nPrevention for the West Virginia Bureau for Public Health for the past\n\nthirteen years. He is currently serving as Southeastern States Regional\n\nRepresentative of the national Tobacco Control Network\, is a member of\n\nthe Association of State and Territorial Health Officers Tobacco Issues\n\nCouncil\, and has served the past eleven years on the Break Free Alliance\n\nCoordinating Council (currently the Vice Chair).
