DESCRIPTION:The Charleston Area Alliance will present Go to Hale\, a FestivALL event\, 10 a.m to 6 p.m. Saturday\, June 25\, 2016 along Hale Street\, between Virginia and Quarrier Streets and between Quarrier and Lee Streets.The event is sponsored by Brewer & Company of West Virginia\, Proud Eagle and Oskar Blues Brewery and the American Federation of Musicians Local 136.  \n\n\n\nComplimenting the already popular Capitol Street Art Fair\, Children?s Art Fair and Kanawha County Public Library Street Fair\, Go to Hale is a block party with live music\, Downtown Charleston pop-up shops and a temporary miniature golf course experience with 27 holes.\n\n\n\nGo to Hale will serve as the kick-off for the Downtown Open pop-up putt-putt golf course. Each of the 27 holes is sponsored by local businesses who have worked to finish and personalize the miniature golf platforms with d cor and obstacles prior to the event. Following Go to Hale\, the Charleston Area Alliance will transport the putt-putt holes to various parks\, walkways and green spaces throughout downtown where they will reside until Sunday\, July 10. Successfully implemented by other downtown associations across the U.S.\, Downtown Open is a unique one-of-a-kind miniature golf course that enhances our mission of making Downtown Charleston even more economically vibrant\, walkable and culturally alive.
