DESCRIPTION:We hope you can join us for the first Girls in Aviation Day event at West Virginia International Yeager Airport. This event will be hosted by the Marshall University Chapter of Women in Aviation. This event is open to all girls in the region (ages 8-18). Attendees will take part in various learning stations aimed at introducing Aviation careers. Touch a plane\, meet a pilot\, learn about exciting jobs in aviation\, discover flight training opportunities\, learn to speak aviation\, and so much more!\n\n \n\nRegistration is now open for students and their chaperones. Chaperones (adults) must have a ticket to enter the event and must accompany children under 16 years of age at all times. Chaperones and Students must BOTH have tickets to enter the event.\n\n \n\nThis event is open house style\, you can come and stay as long as you wish. Visitors can attend anytime between the hours of 10AM and 2 PM on Saturday\, September 23. We will be playing the Disney movie "Planes" on a jumbo screen starting at 12 pm. The first 100 girls will receive an official GIAD swag bag.\n\n \n\nWe're also searching for sponsors!
