DESCRIPTION:The Charleston Area Alliance will present the inaugural Downtown Open\, a temporary putt-putt course setup along sidewalks\, walkways and green spaces of Downtown Charleston Saturday\, June 25 - Sunday\, July 10. Each hole is customized with decor and obstacles by a business sponsor\, resulting in a unique\, one-of-a-kind miniature golf course.\n\n\n\nDowntown Open hole sponsors include: \n\n\n\nBrickStreet Insurance\n\nCharleston Urban Renewal Authority\n\nCity of Charleston\, WV\n\nKanawha County Public Library\n\nBrewer & Company of WV\, Inc.\n\nTgraphics\n\nDelfine's Jewelry\n\nGAI Consultants\n\nCapitol Conference Center\n\nCharleston WV Convention & Visitors Bureau\n\nGirl Scouts of Black Diamond Council\n\nCity National Bank (WV-OH-KY-VA)\n\nSpilman Thomas & Battle\, PLLC\n\nVirginia Lee\n\nZMM Architects & Engineers\n\nCharleston Stormwater Program\n\nBen Franklin Career Center\n\nGeneration Charleston\n\nTony The Tailor\n\nArt Emporium\n\nWest Virginia American Water\n\nPickering Associates\n\nAdvantage Technology\n\nTaylor Books\n\nQuarrier Diner\n\n\n\nThe Go to Hale block party Saturday\, July 25 will serve as the kick-off for Downtown Open and all putt-putt holes will be placed along Hale Street for this event.\n\n\n\nFollowing Go to Hale\, the Charleston Area Alliance will transport the golf holes to various spaces downtown where they will reside until Sunday\, July 10.\n\n\n\nDowntown Open is free to play and players are encouraged to bring their own putters. Course maps\, scorecards and a select number of putters/golf balls will be available to borrow at select downtown merchants during their respective business hours.
